Oh boy - what a rough start!

Hello my dear blog followers/fitness buddies!

Well, I sure haven't been very good at this whole working out thing. First off, I put down the wrong date - so I haven't been quite as flaky as my last post would entail. See, when I put down the 17th of August as the start date, I meant to put down the 24th because that was the first day of school. Well, alas, I didn't. So, Monday should have been your start date. Hopefully, though, you were better than I and worked out all last week and all this week!! Yes? Yes?

Anywho, I've been super slacking. Monday - NADDA! Tuesday - I actually did something - I went on a walk/run with a pregnant lady (thanks for making me Carly!). And, today-I actually went to the gym.

So, today's workout was fairly simple - 6 hours of walking around campus lost throuhgout the day and a 20 minute cardio workout on the eliptical. Not too bad. I'm really upset that I don't have a pedometer (that's the thing that counts steps, right?) because the time I spent lost today and walking around campus had to count for something!

Well, here's a quote for the day - please think of this as your are dieting/exercising! And, PLEASE PLEASE leave your comments as to how your doing on your working out!

Here's the quote:

"I have a great diet. You're allowed to eat anything you want, but you must eat it with naked fat people."

  1. I've also been a huge slacker in the working out department. BUT--I've been eating way healthier this week. We pretty much ate out every meal for the first two weeks after moving since I refused to move food, mostly because I planned on buying only healthy food once we moved here. For the most part, we've been sticking to the healthy food--as much unprocessed food as possible, whole grains, lean meats (although I couldn't bring myself to eat brown rice again today, so I ate white, and I pretend that cream of wheat is a whole grain:). We'll see if it pays off when I weigh myself at the end of the week. My plan is to start working out when Ken starts work next Tuesday and isn't hanging around the house making me a slacker:)
